SUITE WINSTON CHURCHILL A L'HOTEL DE PARIS A MONACO

Sir Winston Churchill est très souvent venu séjourner pour des vacances à MONACO. Sa suite était réservée (toujours la même) au dernier étage du célèbre Hôtel de Paris.

De cet endroit, il dominait le port, la baie de MONACO et plus loin, les garrigues et forêt où il plantait son chevalet de peintre.

La Direction de l'Hôtel souhaitait à la fois restructurer l'espace pour l'agrandir et augmenter l'ensemble des baies vitrées.

 L'idée était dès l'entrée de recréer ce que Sir Winston Churchill avait connu (lambris reconstitué, chevalet avec une peinture en cours, une palette et la boîte de couleurs) pour... se retrouver dans un espace très contemporain, chaleureux, magique où la modernité technologique est très présente mais très discrète : toutes les commandes sont sur domotique, dans la chambre la télévision sort du plafond pour disparaître...



SUITE WINSTON CHURCHILL AT HOTEL DE PARIS IN MONACO


Sir Winston Churchill came very often in Monaco for holidays. His favorite suite (always in the same one) was booked at the upper floor of the famous Hôtel de Paris. 
From there he overlook over the port and the Monaco Bay, further, the scrubland and the forest where he was used to stand his easel. 
The Direction of the Hotel wished a complete restructuration by enlarging the space and getting more windows. 
First in the entrance, the idea was to recreate the environment Sir Winston Churchill knew when he was there (reconstitution of wood pannellings, easel with a painting in progess, a painter's palette with a box of colours) as to... find oneself in a very contamporary environement, warm and magic where presence of modernity in the technology was essential but also discret : all controls on domotic systems and a foldaway tv screen system into the ceiling of the Master bedroom...
