Le premier dessin date de 1977 et était destiné à un grand chef d’entreprise qui souhaitait travailler en permanence avec ses collaborateurs sous forme de mini conférences.
Ce bureau, présenté au SAD en 1981 par Mobilier International, connut soudain un très grand succès ; il venait à point au moment où se modifiaient les rapports et les méthodes de travail des dirigeants dans les entreprises : plus de convivialité, travail davantage en équipe, nombreux équipements de communication. Aujourd’hui, le DELTA fait partie des bureaux les plus vendus en Europe.
